Irish Crochet Lace Handkerchiefs
I made some lace edged handkerchiefs out of muslin. I would have preferred linen lawn, but couldn't source any. The hankies are dainty and very mother of the bride. I also find that little girls and little old ladies are big fans too, so I'm making quite a few as presents. The smaller the hook and the thinner the thread, the more delicate the lace. In the video below, I used 20 thread and a 1mm hook, to help visualise what I was doing. The main priciple is to adapt the amount of stitches to the thread and make sure that the work lies flat on it's own.
